Go Emergency Ltd – Booking Terms & Conditions

Introduction Your use of Go Emergency Ltd’s website and services is governed strictly by these Terms and Conditions. By booking a service, you agree to abide by these terms.

Definitions

  • Company refers to Go Emergency Ltd.
  • Customer refers to the individual booking a service through Go Emergency Ltd.
  • Contractor refers to an independent tradesperson (plumber, electrician, gas engineer, etc.) attending to the customer’s request.
  • Works refers to the emergency repairs undertaken by the contractor at the customer’s premises.
  • Services refer to the introduction of the customer to a contractor for the provision of emergency repair works.

Service Description Go Emergency Ltd acts as an introducer, connecting customers with vetted, independent emergency tradespeople. The attending contractors are self-employed and are neither employees nor subcontractors of Go Emergency Ltd. While we take reasonable steps to ensure that all contractors meet required industry standards, we are not liable for the quality, performance, or outcome of the works carried out.

The fee paid to Go Emergency Ltd is a booking fee for arranging a contractor’s attendance. Additional payments will be made directly to the attending contractor, as detailed in the confirmation message you receive upon booking.

By allowing a contractor access to your property, you confirm acceptance of these terms, even if you do not formally reply to the terms sent via SMS or email after booking.

Nature of Service All bookings are considered urgent unless stated otherwise in writing. We cannot guarantee that contractors will always arrive within the estimated time frame due to unforeseen circumstances, and no compensation will be provided for delays.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations must be made in writing via email. SMS cancellations will not be accepted.
  • If a contractor has already been dispatched, the booking fee is non-refundable.
  • If no contractor has been assigned, a 50% refund of the booking fee may be issued to cover administrative costs.
  • As per the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, urgent repair and maintenance services are exempt from the usual right to cancel once the booking has been confirmed.

Access & Safety The customer must ensure a safe environment for the contractor to work and guarantee access to the property. Failure to do so may result in the service not being carried out, with the full booking fee still payable.

Permits & Regulations It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any necessary permissions, permits, or approvals (e.g., from landlords or planning authorities) are in place before any work begins. Go Emergency Ltd and its contractors bear no liability for works carried out without such permissions.

Liability & Guarantees

  • Any work performed by contractors is covered under their own policies and guarantees. Go Emergency Ltd does not provide any guarantees for the works undertaken.
  • We are not responsible for damage or defects arising from incomplete works or failure to follow recommended procedures.
  • Gas Safe engineers operate under their own registration and are responsible for any gas-related work they carry out.

Customer Responsibilities

  • The customer must verify the identity and credentials of the contractor before granting them access.
  • The company will make reasonable efforts to ensure accurate contractor details but holds no liability for misrepresentation by a third party.
  • The company is not responsible for delays caused by unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.
