Go Emergency Ltd – Contractor Terms & Conditions
Introduction Go Emergency Ltd connects qualified, independent contractors with customers requiring urgent emergency repairs. By accepting work from Go Emergency Ltd, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
Definitions
- Company refers to Go Emergency Ltd.
- Customer refers to the individual booking a service through Go Emergency Ltd.
- Contractor refers to the independent tradesperson providing emergency repair services.
- Works refers to the emergency repairs carried out by the contractor at the customer’s property.
- Service or Services refer to the introduction of the customer to a contractor for the supply of works.
Nature of Engagement Go Emergency Ltd provides marketing and lead generation services to connect customers with independent contractors. Contractors are not employees or subcontractors of Go Emergency Ltd. Instead, they operate as independent service providers and are fully responsible for the quality, performance, and outcome of their work.
Go Emergency Ltd does not charge contractors for referrals or any remedial work undertaken beyond the initial job booking.
Contractor Responsibilities By accepting work from Go Emergency Ltd, contractors confirm that:
- They hold the necessary qualifications, certifications, and insurances relevant to their trade.
- They will act professionally and provide a high standard of service.
- They will adhere to pre-agreed pricing structures for the first hour of labour.
- They are responsible for managing payments from customers directly.
- They will issue invoices to customers for any work completed.
Payment & Charges
- Customers pay contractors directly for the first hour of labour and any additional costs for parts.
- Contractors cannot request a call-out fee in addition to the agreed first-hour labour charge.
- Customers must be offered multiple payment options.
- Travel time is not considered part of the labour charge.
- Go Emergency Ltd is not responsible for unpaid invoices or non-payment by customers.
Remedial & Additional Works Contractors may undertake additional works for customers beyond the initial service request. Any such agreements are solely between the contractor and customer. Go Emergency Ltd does not claim any commission or involvement in remedial works beyond the initial booking.
Cancellations & No-Shows
- If a customer cancels after the job has been accepted, contractors may charge a reasonable cancellation fee within the limits of the pre-agreed rate.
- Go Emergency Ltd is not liable for customer cancellations or non-attendance at the arranged time.
- Any disputes regarding cancellations or payments must be resolved directly between the contractor and the customer.
Liability & Compliance
- Contractors assume full responsibility for their work and any liabilities arising from it.
- Contractors must ensure they are adequately insured before attending a customer’s premises.
- Contractors operating under Gas Safe or other regulated certifications must adhere to all legal and safety requirements.
- Go Emergency Ltd will not be held liable for any damage, defects, or regulatory non-compliance resulting from contractor work.
Permits, Licenses & Regulations The customer is responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions, permits, or approvals before work begins. Go Emergency Ltd and contractors are not liable for work conducted without the required permissions.
Dispute Resolution Any disputes regarding payments, service quality, or liability are solely between the customer and the contractor. However, Go Emergency Ltd encourages professional dispute resolution and can provide assistance where possible.
